Robot Coding for Juniors

$150 per every 4-weeks, 25% sibling discount

Location: 75 Centennial Rd, Ajax, ON

Enroll and continue with a monthly fee for this 12-week program. Students will program their mBot robots using simple visual blocks and Scratch programming environment. The focus is on creating fun robot-human interactions. Projects include pet robots, obstacle avoidance, autonomous police car and much more! No prior experience required.

No pre-requisites required, enroll and continue with a monthly fee for this 12-week program. Students will be given beginner electronics lessons, learn about sensors, LEDs and motors. This program is designed to teach the basics of creating smart devices that are fun and programmable using Scratch visual blocks. Projects include rainbow LED smart lamp, sound effect generator, arcade basketball game and much more. This course empowers student to understand how pieces of technology can be used to put together any idea that they can dream of!

Enroll and continue with a monthly fee for this 12-week program. Students will be taught the basics of robot coding and algorithms using industry standard C programming. Students will program their robots to sense the environment and navigate obstacles intelligently. Projects include: Tesla-style autonomous driving, line following, syncronized dancing and much more! Programming will be conducted on the mBot robotics platform. No prior experience reqiured.

No pre-requisites or prior experience required. Enroll and continue with a monthly fee for this 12-week program. Topics will include the basics of electricity, analog/digital signals, wiring input/output connections, using voltmeters, building an Arduino system and much more. Projects exampes include making a wearable device, motion controllers and smart home devices. Programming will be done with Scratch. Students will gain the understanding of inventing their own mechatronic systems.

MEET THE TEAM

Fayez Khan 

 

Instructor

Fayez is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, Mechatronics Engineering program and holds a P.Eng and MBA. He has spent 10 years designing and managing projects spanning robotics, medical surgical training devices and nuclear sensors.

Zeehan Rahman

Instructor

Zeehan is a Product Manager at UHN, Toronto General Hospital. She studied Life Sciences at McMaster University and holds a Masters Degree in Management Analytics. Her area of specialty is in managing software products for health care. Her current project focuses on helping children with arthritis.

Maliha Hossain

 

Instructor

Maliha is a Pharm.D graduate of the University of Toronto. Her creative spirit has led her to work for start-ups such as Nanoleaf, and SpeakerBooth. Outside of work, she volunteers to empower kids with autism and hosts her own improv classes.

Allie
Martin

 

Writer &  Education Consultant

Allie has her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York U and her Bachelor and Master of Education from OISE. She has been teaching for over 10 years and has a passion for whole child education. She is a firm believer in the power that play and nature have in the education and well-being of children and adults alike.
